01 — Biography
A life
in art.
Christine Morrow is a Colorado-based interdisciplinary artist working at the meeting point of painting, sculpture and material experimentation. Her wall reliefs invite close observation: changes in light and viewing angle reveal relationships between colour, shadow, texture and form.
Morrow trained in textile design and technology at New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology. At Jack Lenor Larsen’s design studio, she explored traditional and abstract weaving methods and the development of fabric prototypes. That foundation in structure and surface continues to inform her handling of materials.
She later studied in California and earned a master’s degree in science education. The connection between artistic intuition and scientific investigation remains a defining part of her approach. Rather than settling on a single material vocabulary, she experiments with both familiar and unconventional elements, building layered compositions through careful handwork.
The Rocky Mountains and Colorado skies provide an ongoing source of inspiration. Her work has been presented through D’art Gallery in Denver, including Between Rhythm and Shape in 2026. At Studio 54 Fine Art, she brings this attention to dimension and perception to Life is Beautiful, launching on 10 October 2026.
02 — Artistic practice
A surface that changes as you move.
Morrow composes across two and three dimensions, using material, colour and light as interdependent parts of a work. The physical surface matters as much as the image: texture and relief can create new visual relationships when viewed from another angle.
Her background in textile design supports a precise approach to construction. Experimentation allows structure and intuition to work together, creating pieces that reward both an immediate encounter and a slower, closer look.
